Food Allergy & Dietary Restrictions & Meal Protocol During the All-State Event
During the registration process online through Opus, any dietary restrictions or allergies must be included in the students’ information.
Data reports are downloaded from the site and any restrictions and allergies are noted and sent to the caterers.
Many caterers already exclude nuts from their facilities and meals.
Other restrictions, such as gluten, dairy, vegetarian, etc. will be accommodated. A separate meal can be provided for those students, no extra charge.
If there is concern that the accommodations will not be sufficient, students may bring (nonperishable) supplemental food/snacks along with them.

What do I do if my student needs to drop/decline their spot for All-State?
Teachers log into Opus and click box next to that student that says “Withdraw” – this will send an automated email notification to the OMEA Executive Director and alert them that there’s been a drop and that a new student needs to be added and notified. – PLEASE do this ASAP.
Parents/Guardians can use the custom link included in the notification email from Opus and click “Withdraw” instead of completing the registration process
Or, email the OMEA Executive Director ASAP and they will click the “Withdraw” box to remove that student from the ensemble.
There are many deserving students throughout Oregon that would love the opportunity to fill those spots, but they need time to complete registration and payment too – Please don’t wait until the registration deadline to decide this.
