Overview
High school students have the opportunity to play with their most talented peers in the Oregon All-State High School groups.
Conductors for the High School All-State Groups
Band, Choir and Orchestra members will rehearse January 25-27, 2002 and perform in the Gala All-State Concert on Sunday, January 27 at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts.
Jazz Band and Choir students will rehearse January 19-20 in Gresham, and January 24-26, 2002 in Eugene. They perform an evening concert at the Hilton Eugene Conference Center on Saturday, July 26.
An attendance fee of $215 will cover clinician costs, sheet music, food, lodging and administrative expenses. All students will stay at the Eugene Hilton two nights, except for those living in the Eugene area. An additional fee is required to cover the Gresham rehearsal for the jazz ensembles. Watch the OMEA web-site for details. Attendance for local students (Eugene area) will be $135. Concert tickets will be sold for $12 to cover the cost of the hall rental. Supervision will be provided from the time of registration until the concert.

Timeline for High School All-State

Download audition information and prepare audition. Register online at OMEA web site, receive identification number |
| October 5, 2001 |
Deadline for postmark on mailing from director including:
- Photocopy of OMEA/MENC membership card with membership
current through January 25, 2002.
NOTE: Director's membership must be current at the time of application. Directors whose membership expires before the convention must furnish proof of renewal prior to December 1 or their students will be replaced by students on the waiting list for membership in the All-State ensembles
- Completed Director Summary Form
- Copies of all students required Applicant Signature Form with all necessary signatures
- Full payment of all student registration fees ($10 per application)
- Student audition tapes (follow revised audition instructions)

Students and directors receive notification of selected students, students download All-State Packet, including required contract, waiver and medical forms, student completes forms - including required signatures and returns them with registration fee to director. |
| December 1, 2001 |
Deadline for postmark of the following to OMEA from the director:
- Copies of all required student forms with signatures
- Full payment of all student registration fees

Music will be mailed. Students will be responsible for learning music prior to arrival at the convention. |
