All-State 2006 Information
What is All-State?
High school students have the opportunity to play with their most
talented peers from across the state in the Oregon All-State High School
groups.

Jazz Band and Jazz Choir students begin rehearsals in Eugene at 2:15PM on
Thursday, January 26. They perform an evening concert at the Hilton Eugene
Conference Center on Saturday, January 28.
Band, Choir and Orchestra members rehearse January 27-29, 2006 and
perform in the Gala All-State Concert on Sunday, January 29 at the Hult
Center for the Performing Arts.
An attendance fee of $252 covers clinician costs, sheet music, food,
lodging and administrative expenses. All participating students, except for
those living in the Eugene area, will be lodged at the Eugene Hilton for two
nights (quads�4 to a room). Attendance for local students (Eugene area) is
$189. Concert tickets will be sold for $12 to cover the cost of the hall
rental. Supervision will be provided from the time of registration until the
concert.

All Schools are eligible regardles of thie OSAA ranking.

Deadline for postmark on mailing from director including:
- Photocopy of OMEA/MENC membership card with membership current
through January 2006.
NOTE: Director's membership must be current at the time of
application. Directors whose membership expires before the convention
must furnish proof of renewal prior to December 1 or their students
will be replaced by students on the waiting list for membership in the
All-State ensembles

- Copies of all students required registration forms with all
necessary signatures
- Full payment of all student registration fees ($10 per
application)

- Directors receive notification of selected students
- Student selections have been made! Check the lists of accepted students (login required)
- Selected students are registered by their director online to accept
a position in the All-State groups and reserve lodging. (This is in the
password protected section of the OMEA website. Directors must have
up-to-date MENC/OMEA membership to gain access to this area.)
- All-State Registration Packets, including required contract, waiver
and medical forms are downloaded when the director completes the
registration.
- Student completes forms - including required signatures - and
returns them with registration fee to director.

Deadline for postmark of the following to OMEA from the director:
- Copies of all required student forms with signatures
- Full payment of all student registration fees
- Deadline for director's conference pre-registration. (NOTE:
Students of directors who are not current OMEA members, or who have not
completed conference registration by November 18, will be replaced by
students on the waiting list for membership in the respective Honor
Groups)

learning music prior to arrival at the convention. |
