Steve Paul Commissioning Project

Less then one year ago Steve Paul died of a heart attack. Steve developed a dynamic music education program at the University of Oregon and at one time was the Director of Bands at UofO. Anyone who knew Steve or worked in Oregon during his years here know of the impact he had on Music Education in our state. OMEA is part of an eight state project to raise funds to commission a work in Steve's honor. The work is being composed by Don Grantham and is entitled Don't You See. The West Coast Premier of Don't You See will be performed by the Oregon All-State Honor Band at the 2001 OMEA Convention in Eugene. While we have raised thousands toward the full amount of $8,000 we are still shy of the amount needed to complete this project.
