OMEA Conference Registration Instructions

  • Click on this link Link to Opus Events for Teachers to Register for the 2018 OMEA Conference

  • Create an account

  • Use an email address of your choosing and create a password of your choice.
  • After filling out this information and clicking Next, an e-mail containing a verification PIN is sent to the provided e-mail address.
  • Check your email for a PIN (check your junk/spam folder too)

  • Step 3: User Information...Here you finalize your user profile with your contact information and select "add a membership." You will be directed to your User Profile page and presented with the membership dialog box. The membership Type is pre-populated with the type they selected in the previous screen.

  • Use the email address you use when logging into the NAfME website and your nine digit ID # (if yours is less than nine... add zeros to the beginning of it to make it nine digits long.)

  • If your membership did not sync with the NAfME site correctly, email your NAfME info to membersupport@nafme.org for assistance.

  • Once your account is set up and your NAfME membership is linked, Click on "Home" or the house picture to jump back to the main page.

  • Select "2018 OMEA Conference" which takes you to a new page with options to register for the conference. If your membership is synced properly and is current, you should see the option for OMEA Member at the top, click select and fill out the form on the next screen. (If you do not see an option for OMEA member, this means that your NAfME membership did not properly sync/there's missing info in your membership profile.)

  • At the bottom, you can select your option for payment. If paying by PO or check, enter your bookkeepers name and email, and click "Submit and Pay" (If selecting PO, you do not need your PO number to submit your registration form).

  • You will not get a confirmation email until payment has posted to your registration form. If you need an invoice, return to the home page and you'll see a box that says: "Existing Registrations" and to the right, click Receipt, and a window will pop-up where you can enter an email address to send it to. OMEA will not issue separate invoices, it is up to the teachers to get these to their bookkeepers.

TO PRINT AN INVOICE/RECEIPT

After you have registered for the conference, click on "Home" or the house icon to return to the Event Home/Main page.

You should see see "Existing Registrations" and on the right, a "Receipt" button

Click on the "Receipt" button, and a window will pop-up... in the top left corner of this window, you can enter an email address for you or your bookkeeper to send it directly to them

OMEA will not generate invoices or receipts for you, teachers are responsible for this themselves.

Troubleshooting:

Follow the directions below if you are experiencing issues with the following -->

  • If your membership is showing that it is expired, but you know you have renewed it...
  • You are only seeing the option for non-member/student ... unable to register as an active member....
