Dos Mundos at Westside is a charter school housed at Westside Elementary. Of the 24 classes of students at the combined schools, 12 are classes of Dos Mundos and 12 are classes of Westside Elementary. The purpose of Dos Mundos at Westside is to provide instruction in English and Spanish, while teaching content areas, so that students over time will become fluent in both languages. Westside Elementary students are taught basic Spanish nouns and phrases, but will not be expected to reach fluency.
