Best 100 Communities for Music Education Survey

Fifth Annual Best 100 Communities for Music Education Survey Underway!

Once again, MENC is partnering with the American Music Conference and several other leading music and education organizations to present the Fifth Annual Best 100 Communities for Music Education Survey - and we're calling on you to take part.

The 2004 Best 100 list will be released in March, to coincide with the annual observance of Music In Our Schools Month.

Even if you don't know all the answers about music education in your hometown, the ones you do know will help; and you can forward the survey link to school officials or other people who have all the facts. The important thing is to make sure your community is represented!

Over the last four years, the survey has been a great tool for recognizing local excellence and calling media attention to the larger issue of music education. It's also had a direct impact on saving music programs in more than one school district. With budget cuts and shifting priorities threatening music across the country, this annual survey has never been more important.

Thank you for your participation and for your membership in MENC!
