Basic Job Purpose/Function:
The String Ensemble Director, in cooperation with other music faculty, assists the dean by organizing and operating a comprehensive co-curricular music program and recommending the academic program.
Essential Duties:
- Direct the string ensemble.
- Recruit students to the string ensemble.
- Schedule a minimum of 12 performances per year.
- Provide small ensembles from within the larger ensemble to perform on special occasions.
- Coordinate the annual Northwest Orchestra Festival.
- Recommend part-time instructors.
