Teen Songwriters Competition

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) would like to inform you of its new Teen category for songwriters aged 18 and younger.

The first place winner of the Teen category will be awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music's five-week summer performance program (room and board will also be provided), $1000 in cash and $2000 in merchandise and services. The winner has to be at least 15 years of age in the summer of 2004 to use the Berklee scholarship.

The second place winner of the Teen category will receive a four-week online course of his or her choice from Berkleemusic.com and $1000 in merchandise and services.

The Teen category will be judged by our guest judges-Grammy nominees *NSYNC and Vanessa Carlton-as well as the ISC's panel of judges, made up of industry heavyweights such as Monte Lipman (President of Universal Records), Bruce Lundvall (CEO/President of Capitol Records Jazz/Classics), Arif Mardin (Producer of the Year at the 2003 Grammy Awards) and more.

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is an annual musical contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena. ISC is designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels, and promote excellence in the art of songwriting.

More information on the ISC and an entry form are available.
